HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
In a new historical moment that confirms the position reached by Moroccan diplomacy, the name of Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Abroad, emerged as one of the most prominent makers of the diplomatic transformation that the Kingdom is witnessing under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory.
The man who accumulated a long experience within the corridors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was able to transform major files, headed by the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, from a mere regional conflict to a story of diplomatic success recognized by the major international powers. Since assuming the foreign portfolio, Bourita chose a calm and practical approach away from media noise, relying on the language of proof and credibility. He repositioned Morocco within international institutions under the guidance of the country's monarch and built bridges of trust with strategic partners from various continents, at a time when the region was experiencing severe political turmoil. The result was clear in the corridors of the United Nations, increasing support for the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty, and growing recognition of the justice of the Moroccan position. The latest resolution of the Security Council, which broadly supported the Moroccan proposal, is nothing but the fruit of accumulated diplomatic work led by Bourita with skill and patience, and translates the royal directives based on realism and decisiveness. Bourita was able to combine calm diplomacy and firm stances, and to confront attempts by opponents of territorial unity with argument and logic, not with a raised voice. While some chose to invest in hostile rhetoric, Morocco relied on field achievement, large-scale development projects in the southern provinces, and the opening of foreign consulates in Laayoune and Dakhla, which made the world see in the Moroccan model a practical and convincing option. Nasser Bourita succeeded in making Moroccan diplomacy more present and influential, not only in the Sahara file, but in various regional and international issues, from Africa to Europe, and from the United Nations to the Arab League. The voice of Morocco has become heard and respected, thanks to its balance and clarity of vision. Today, after the historic vote in the Security Council, it can be said that Nasser Bourita signed a new victory in the name of Morocco, adding to the series of successes that are built with wisdom and foresight, not with bidding. Modern, solid, and self-confident Moroccan diplomacy reflects the image of a country rising steadily under one banner and an immortal slogan: God – Homeland – King.
