The National Democratic Party expressed its great interest in the positive developments witnessed by the Moroccan Sahara file, represented in the adoption of a historic resolution by the UN Security Council, which confirms the validity of the Moroccan initiative for autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty as the sole and realistic solution to the fabricated regional conflict, in accordance with international legitimacy and its purposes in promoting security, stability and development.
The General Secretariat of the party praised the contents of the Royal Speech addressed to the nation, in which His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, announced a new stage in the process of consolidating the Moroccan Sahara. The General Secretariat considered the UN resolution a culmination of fifty years of effort, sacrifices, and continuous diplomatic work, and a new opening in the march of national unity.
The party affirmed its pride in the wise royal approach that adopted realism and consensus, and made the autonomy initiative a practical framework to end the conflict, in a way that preserves the dignity of all parties without a victor or vanquished, and puts an end to the fabricated regional conflict.
The party also expressed its pride in the diplomatic and political achievements made by the Kingdom, which confirm the justice of the Moroccan position and the legitimacy of its historical rights in the southern regions, in addition to appreciating the King's sincere call to the brothers in Algeria to open a new page of dialogue and cooperation, and build a common future based on fraternal ties and mutual respect.
The General Secretariat recalled the pure spirit of King Hassan II, the creator of the Green March, and His Majesty the late Mohammed V, the hero of liberation and national struggle, and the souls of the nation's martyrs, with appreciation for the great sacrifices of the sons of the nation, especially the people of the southern regions, in defending the unity and stability of the country and their contribution to comprehensive development.
The General Secretariat also praised the positions of the international community and friendly and brotherly countries that supported the Moroccan right in international forums, stressing that this UN resolution represents a new historical turning point that confirms the united march of Morocco from Tangier to La Guera, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, and with the unity of all Moroccans in defending the nation's sanctities and its firm constants.
