The city of Sefrou witnessed a distinctive festive atmosphere on Friday evening, embodying the feelings of national pride and honor among the residents, following the issuance of the latest UN Security Council resolution supporting the autonomy initiative presented by Morocco as a serious and realistic solution to the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.
The celebrations witnessed a large presence of various segments of society, from community activists and citizens, led by the governor of Sefrou province who shared the joy of the residents spontaneously and humbly, in a scene that reflected the depth of popular cohesion around the territorial integrity of the Kingdom. The city's streets were adorned with national flags, and popular chants and national anthems rose, expressing the Moroccans' adherence from Tangier to El Gouera to the unity of their homeland, and their appreciation for the successive diplomatic achievements achieved by the Kingdom under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory. Participants in this demonstration affirmed that the latest UN resolution constitutes a new diplomatic victory for Morocco and consolidates increasing international recognition of the credibility and realism of the Moroccan autonomy initiative as a final option to end this artificial conflict. These festive atmospheres were crowned by raising national slogans that affirm the firm popular engagement in defending territorial integrity and supporting the continuous efforts of Moroccan diplomacy in consolidating security, development, and stability in the southern provinces of the Kingdom.
