In the city of Orlando, hundreds of Moroccans residing in the state of Florida, United States, met on Saturday to express their overwhelming joy and great pride, following the adoption of Security Council Resolution 2797 on the Moroccan Sahara.
In a festive atmosphere filled with a national spirit, a large procession of cars and motorcycles, decorated with national flags, toured the main streets of the global capital of thematic parks, to the sound of car horns and national songs.
Leading this large procession, which was admired by the residents of the city of Orlando, was a giant screen, set up on a truck, displaying a map of the Kingdom, from Tangier to Laayoune, and decorated with national slogans celebrating the spirit of belonging and national unity.
In statements obtained by the Moroccan News Agency, many of the participants expressed their pride and satisfaction following the adoption of the Security Council resolution, which constitutes a major turning point towards the final settlement of the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
Moroccans in Florida also renewed their strong affirmation of their firm attachment to the glorious Alawi throne and their constant mobilization behind King Mohammed VI, highlighting that their joy is multiplied because this brilliant diplomatic victory achieved by the Kingdom coincides with the commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the glorious Green March.
They agreed to emphasize, carrying national flags and raising the slogan "Morocco in its Sahara and the Sahara in its Morocco", that this historic success will remain firmly rooted in the collective memory of Moroccans wherever they are.
This gathering also reflects the firm attachment of the Moroccan community in the United States to the national cause, and embodies the role that Moroccans around the world play in defending the supreme interests of the Kingdom.
