HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Maroc Telecom, the main player in the development of the telecommunications sector in Africa, has unveiled its new visual identity in a move that reflects a strategic shift in its path and its desire to keep pace with the rapid development of the digital world and enhance its national and international presence with a more modern and bolder vision.
A new vision for an ambitious digital Morocco
This step comes in a national context that is witnessing an acceleration in the pace of digital innovation, driven by the national vision "Digital Morocco 2030" and the readiness to enter the fifth generation (5G) phase. Through this new identity, Maroc Telecom affirms its commitment to contributing to the transformation of the telecommunications sector and supporting the Moroccan ambition towards a brighter digital future.
Red… the color of renewal and belonging
The new visual identity is a reflection of a new stage in the life of the brand. After years of adopting the blue and orange colors that characterized the founding phase, Maroc Telecom chose the color red to be a symbol of renewal and national belonging, as it embodies the color of the Moroccan flag and the meanings of pride, energy, and vitality that it carries.
At the same time, the brand maintains the symbolic curves that formed the essence of its identity, but with a smoother and more dynamic design that reflects the flow of data and the continuity of connection. The previous digital symbols have been removed in favor of a unified and simple visual form that relies on red curves that symbolize a national network that connects different regions of Morocco from Tangier to El Guerguerat and from Oujda to Dakhla.
These streamlined lines express a new vision: Maroc Telecom is not just a technical infrastructure, but a living and warm human link, bringing Moroccans together and shortening the distances between them. A second small curve in the new logo also symbolizes a light signal that reflects the spirit of communication and change.
Yassine Bounou… face of the new identity
To add a human and youthful dimension to its new identity, Maroc Telecom announced the selection of the Moroccan star Yassine Bounou as the new brand ambassador. The goalkeeper of the Moroccan national team embodies the values of excellence, boldness, and belonging on which the company's new vision is based.
Bounou is considered, according to the company, a symbol of passion, ambition, and self-confidence, the same values that Maroc Telecom seeks to instill in its customers and audience, especially the youth.
“A new stage in the path of Maroc Telecom”
In a statement on the occasion, Mohamed Benchaâboun, General Manager of the Maroc Telecom Group, said: "Changing our visual identity represents an important stage in the history of Maroc Telecom, and embodies the continuity of a journey based on proximity, innovation, and trust, with our openness to the future. This new symbol expresses the collective energy of our teams and our desire for excellence, and our commitment to supporting the digital transformation of the Kingdom in the long term."
Ongoing commitment to innovation and proximity
Through this new identity, Maroc Telecom affirms its continued performance of its pioneering role in connecting the Moroccan regions and facilitating communication between citizens, with its commitment to supporting innovation and enhancing its proximity to the younger generations. The group also continues its endeavor to provide high-quality services that combine technical efficiency and the human dimension.
