HIBAPRESS – Agadir
Informed sources have revealed exciting details related to the discovery of a "Kalashnikov" firearm inside a forest located in the suburbs of Agadir, specifically near the crossroads leading to Tiznit, at the entrance to the city of Ait Melloul.
According to available data, a young man in his early twenties went to the forest on the evening of Thursday, November 6th, on his motorcycle, before noticing two people getting a bag out of a four-wheel-drive car and burying it in the area in a way that raised suspicions.
After the car left the scene, the young man decided to go to the site to find out the truth of the matter, where he extracted the buried bag, only to be surprised by the presence of a "Kalashnikov" machine gun and a number of cartridges inside.
The sources added that the young man immediately transported the bag to his home, before contacting the local authorities to inform them of the matter. Upon receiving the notification, elements from the local authority, the Royal Gendarmerie, and the judicial police affiliated with the Ait Melloul commission moved to the scene, where an urgent investigation was opened to find out the circumstances and ملابسات of the incident.
According to the same sources, the security services are seeking, through ongoing investigations, to determine the source of the weapon and the path it took to the area, within the framework of the continuous efforts to enhance security and combat organized crime and cross-border networks.
