HIBAPRESS
Karim Zidan, the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, presided over the inauguration ceremony today, Saturday, of Mohamed Khallafawi, who was appointed by King Mohammed VI as the governor of the Fahs-Anjra province.
After the reading of the appointment decree, the Minister Delegate congratulated the new governor on the high royal confidence he received. Zidan highlighted, in a speech on the occasion, that the appointment of the new governor comes in a national context rich with major projects and profound transformations that the Kingdom is witnessing under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI, and within the framework of the new dynamic that aims to accelerate the ascending path of Morocco. In this context, the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies recalled the high royal directives contained in the Throne Speech of 2025, in which the Moroccan monarch called for the launch of a new generation of integrated territorial development programs in order to establish a new and integrated development model; these are the same high goals that were reaffirmed in the Royal Speech on the occasion of the opening of the first session of the fifth legislative year of the eleventh legislative term, when he stressed that the goals of these programs go beyond governmental and parliamentary time to focus on what is deeper and more comprehensive. The government official explained that these goals focus, in particular, on achieving greater social and spatial justice and ensuring that all citizens benefit from the fruits of growth and equal opportunities among the citizens of the unified nation in various political, economic, social, and other rights. According to Zidan, one of the goals of these programs is to bring about a tangible change in mentalities and working methods, to consolidate a culture of results based on accurate field data relying on digital technologies, and to achieve a faster pace and a stronger impact for the new generation of these programs within a win-win approach between urban and rural areas. To achieve these goals, added the member of the government of Aziz Akhannouch, it is necessary to ensure socio-economic and territorial development based on pillars including ensuring comprehensive and just economic growth, encouraging private initiatives, attracting national and foreign investments, and supporting project holders. The Minister Delegate concluded that the strategic directives of the state, and the new gains that have been achieved at the international and national levels thanks to the wise policy of King Mohammed VI, must be the incentive and the motivation for all territorial actors to actively engage in the various major stages that the Kingdom is witnessing. The inauguration ceremony was attended, in particular, by Younes Taz, the Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, representatives of the military, security, and judicial authorities, heads and members of elected councils, professional chambers, officials of decentralized services, and representatives of civil society organizations.
