Casablanca ranked eighth on the list of the most traffic-congested African cities during the year 2025.
According to the "Numbeo" index, Casablanca came in eighth place, ahead of major capitals and cities on the continent, due to the daily traffic congestion experienced by the economic capital of Morocco. The ranking placed Lagos (Nigeria) at the top of the list, ahead of Nairobi (Kenya) in second place, Cairo (Egypt) in third, and Pretoria (South Africa) in fourth.
