The World Bank Board of Directors has approved $600 million in financing for Morocco for two projects aimed at improving public sector performance, as well as the inclusiveness and quality of public services.

The first program that supports the implementation of the reform of Public Establishments and Enterprises (EEP) in Morocco (financing of 350 Million Dollars) aims to improve governance, restructuring, competitive neutrality and monitoring of the performance of EEP.

To do this, it will support the strengthening of the State’s shareholder functions, the improvement of governance and management practices of EEPs, the steering and monitoring of performance – including in terms of climate impacts – and will establish a framework to guarantee fair competition.
