HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Residents of a residential complex in Casablanca are complaining of ongoing suffering for over a year due to the absence of an elevator and poor cleaning services, which makes their daily lives difficult, especially for the elderly and the sick.
One of the residents of the residence says in a statement to the "HIBAPRESS" website: "We are living in filth, and there are elderly people who are forced to go up and down the stairs with great difficulty, even though we have paid all our dues to the syndic, and nothing of what they promised us has been provided."
Another apartment owner adds that she invested in the property to avoid rental problems, but she encountered new difficulties, "I live on the fifth floor and go up on foot every day, and delivery services refuse to go up to deliver orders, and my parents cannot visit the apartment because of the absence of the elevator. Advertisements promised elevators and multiple facilities, but the reality is completely different, we have been deceived."
The residents demand that the competent authorities and the managing company expedite the implementation of what they promised, and the most prominent priorities are providing elevators and ensuring basic hygiene, especially since some residents are undergoing delicate treatments such as cancer sessions or dialysis, and they find it very difficult to move inside the building, which exacerbates their daily suffering and requires urgent intervention to protect their rights and dignity.
