HIBAPRESS – Rabat

The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, reiterated today, Saturday, in Mediouna, the confirmation that providing free and quality education for all Moroccan children constitutes a fundamental pillar in the social state project, announcing in this context the acceleration of the generalization of pioneer schools across the various regions of the Kingdom.

During the seventh stop of the "Path of Achievements" program in the Casablanca-Settat region, Aziz Akhannouch linked these reforms to the state's general budget, highlighting that the 2026 Finance Bill includes unprecedented increases in the education and health budgets, in line with royal directives. He pointed out that the new finance law carries a clear social load aimed at strengthening the social state and ensuring the stability of prices of essential goods for citizens.

The Head of Government considered that real development cannot be achieved without the concerted efforts of elected officials and territorial actors. He gave the example of the city of Casablanca, which has witnessed a qualitative leap in recent years, especially in the development of the transportation network, which has strengthened spatial justice and given residents greater ease of movement across various parts of the city.

Aziz Akhannouch pointed out the allocation of 5,000 hectares in the Casablanca region for economic and logistical activities, considering it an important lever to attract investment and create job opportunities. He also praised the efforts of the Mayor of the city, Nabila R'mili, in transforming the Mediouna landfill from a "black spot" that lasted a long time into a green space extending over 40 hectares, making Casablanca the first Moroccan city to adopt modern waste treatment through a plant to convert it into energy.
