The 2025 Dubai Airshow witnessed a tragic incident this Friday morning after a fighter jet crashed during an air show, likely belonging to the Indian Air Force.
Photos taken from the crash site showed a thick cloud of smoke rising across from the runway at Al Maktoum International Airport, where the airshow is being held. The aircraft is likely an Indian HAL Tejas, with initial reports indicating that the pilot did not survive. According to Gulf News, the air show segments were temporarily suspended, and visitors were directed to return to the main exhibition areas for their safety. The evening air shows are usually among the most prominent segments that attract the public, as they draw large numbers of visitors to the outdoor area designated for aircraft demonstrations.
