HIBAPRESS – Tetouan
The newspaper "El Faro de Ceuta" wrote a controversial report on the continuation of smuggling activity at the "Tarajal" crossing, which links Fnideq and the occupied Ceuta, where it spoke of drug networks relying on what it calls "human mules" to transport hashish across the border.
The newspaper reported that the Spanish Civil Guard recently managed to arrest a 24-year-old man holding a residence permit in Spain, after his behavior was suspected while crossing the passenger inspection point coming from Fnideq, and a kilogram of hashish was found in his possession, carefully attached to his waist. According to the report, the operation is nothing more than a new link in a daily series of smuggling attempts that rely on the same old method, where drug networks exploit people in exchange for money to transport drugs, either attached to their bodies or hidden inside them. The newspaper also clarified that the Civil Guard's risk analysis units continue to track the paths of the suspects and assess their backgrounds with the aim of enhancing investigations and reducing this renewed activity on the border between Ceuta and Fnideq.
