The lawyer Mohammed Ghloussi, president of the Moroccan Association for the Protection of Public Funds, considered that corruption mafias have encroached upon the state and society, to the point where they see citizens as merely an audience to be exploited for private interests.
Ghloussi pointed out in a post published on his "Facebook" account that these networks have pushed the good and honest to the margins and occupied decision-making positions, to issue fatwas and decide the fate of citizens, using official institutions to pressure anyone who exposes their corruption. Ghloussi indicated that the continuation of these practices pushes the country towards the unknown and threatens security, stability, and public order, and spreads fear and despair among citizens, who have come to consider coexisting with injustice and discrimination as a predetermined fate. The president of the Moroccan Association for the Protection of Public Funds called for the necessity of dismantling these networks and confronting corruption, bribery, illicit enrichment, and the looting of public funds, stressing that preserving the homeland, security, and social stability requires justice, equality before the law, and firmness in its application. Ghloussi affirmed that the country remains beautiful and wonderful, but the continuation of corruption practices hinders joy and a decent life for citizens, warning against pushing society into despair and loss of confidence in institutions.
