HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The Casablanca Court of Appeal upheld, on Wednesday, the initial ruling issued against Mohamed Boudrika, the former president of Raja Club Athletic and former parliamentarian, in the case of issuing bad checks and involvement in acts of fraud and forgery.
The Criminal Court of Ain Sebaa had sentenced Boudrika to five years in prison, along with a financial penalty of 664,000 dirhams, after he was prosecuted on charges of issuing checks without funds, fraud, forgery in an official document and its use, in addition to obtaining without right a certificate issued by the General Administration and using it for illegal purposes. Boudrika's defense had appealed the initial ruling, but the Court of Appeal decided, after studying the file and deliberating, to uphold the ruling issued by the Criminal Court.
