The Court of Appeal in Beni Mellal issued a new ruling in the case known as "forging the results of the Imamate and oratory exams" in Khenifra, where it ruled to cancel the complaint filed by Idriss Al-Idrissi, a member of the local scientific council, against the head of the council on charges of "treason," and also increased the penalty against the plaintiff to three months in prison.
This decision comes after the initial ruling, which had convicted the head of the local scientific council of forgery and sentenced him to three months suspended imprisonment and a fine.
Following the issuance of the ruling, Al-Idrissi expressed his adherence to his position, stressing his respect for the judiciary and his intention to appeal before the Court of Cassation, considering that the continuation of litigation is necessary to reveal what he described as "violations."
The case is related to irregularities that were said to have marred the qualification tests for oratory and Imamate, as the initial ruling was based on statements from members of the scientific council who spoke about signing the results records without following legal procedures, in addition to the delay in referring the final deliberation record to the Supreme Scientific Council, which was considered evidence of the occurrence of violations, before the issuance of the Court of Appeal's ruling, which reversed the balance of this case.
