HIBAPRESS – Follow-up
The world of social media in Austria and Europe was shaken after the announcement of the murder of the famous content creator, Stephanie Piper, 31, whose body was found inside a forest in Slovenia after she had disappeared for a whole week. Investigations revealed that the killer was her ex-husband, who confessed to committing the crime because of his emotional dispute with her and her unwillingness to return to him.
Investigations showed that the accused strangled Piper and then placed her body inside a travel bag before disposing of it in the Slovenian forest. According to what was published by the newspaper "Kronen Zeitung," the incident occurred after a violent dispute between the victim and her ex-husband on Saturday evening after she attended a birthday party with a friend, which led to the escalation of the dispute to physical violence.
Authorities said that Stephanie Piper disappeared since her return to her apartment in the state of Styria, and no trace of her was found until her family informed the police about her absence from a scheduled photo session on Sunday morning, which raised concerns about her safety. Search teams continued for several days before the confession of her ex-husband led to the discovery of the body's location.
This crime sparked great shock in artistic circles and the influencer community in Austria and Europe, as Stephanie Piper was considered one of the most prominent content creators on social media platforms, and she attracted the attention of the public with her creative style and daily posts, which made the incident the subject of wide follow-up and intensive circulation among Internet users.
The Austrian authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine all the circumstances of the crime, while a large number of followers and artists expressed their deep sadness over the loss of a young influential figure, calling for preventive measures to combat domestic violence and protect women from abuse.
