HIBAPRESS – Fes
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the city center of Azrou witnessed a robbery targeting a bank agency, after unknown individuals damaged its automatic teller machine around two o'clock in the morning, before fleeing to an unknown destination.
According to local sources, they exploited the absence of pedestrians on the streets to carry out the robbery in a short time, in the complete absence of security patrols in the area. The same sources also confirmed that the residents of the neighborhood were surprised in the morning by the arrival of various security services that arrived at the scene hours after the crime occurred, in order to inspect the scene of the accident and open an official investigation according to a legal record. According to preliminary data, the surveillance cameras of the bank and neighboring shops were used, which are expected to contribute to identifying the perpetrators and tracking their steps. The city of Azrou has been experiencing a series of assaults and thefts for a while, which have begun to raise the concerns of the residents, who are questioning the party responsible for this security decline, demanding an intensification of patrols and raising the level of vigilance to deter the gangs that have been noticeably active recently. The investigation is still open under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, pending the disclosure of new details that may lead to the arrest of those involved.
