HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Younes Skouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, confirmed that the government is determined to put an end to the abuses committed by some outsourcing companies, especially with regard to the rights of workers, particularly private security guards.
The Minister explained, during his intervention in the House of Representatives, that many practices recorded in this sector now require comprehensive legal and institutional treatment to ensure respect for the basic rights of employees and improve their working conditions. Skouri pointed out that the government is committed to reforming the Labor Code in a way that ensures a balance between protecting workers and encouraging investment, stressing that private security guards are among the most vulnerable groups, given the nature of employment contracts, long working hours, and low wages compared to their efforts. He stressed that reforming the legal system will be aimed at addressing these imbalances and monitoring the outsourcing companies' commitment to the terms of reference and the social conditions in force.
