HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The Attorney General at the Rabat Primary Court announced that the news circulating on some social media platforms claiming the arrest of family members of the "victims of the Al-Qulayaa events" is incorrect.
The Attorney General at the Rabat Primary Court stated in a statement that on December 9, 2025, a few people residing in the city of Al-Qulayaa carried out an unauthorized protest on the public road in front of the Parliament headquarters in the city of Rabat, during which they hung banners on the iron fence surrounding this institution. The statement added that in order to ensure the application of the law, public force elements intervened peacefully in accordance with the law and asked them to disperse and leave the place, which the concerned parties did not comply with, which necessitated their being brought to the headquarters of the competent judicial police department. He explained that the concerned parties were directed to follow the legal procedures related to their demands and were released without resorting to any measure that would prejudice their freedom, as none of them were placed under custodial measures, nor was any arrest warrant issued against them, contrary to what was promoted on some social media platforms in this regard.
