HIBAPRESS – Bouarfa
Within the framework of humanitarian and social initiatives aimed at strengthening health services and bringing specialized medical services closer to citizens in remote areas, the "Al Rahma Wa Al Amal Europe Morocco" association, in partnership with the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Figuig province, is organizing the sixth edition of the free surgical medical caravan. It will take place over three days (October 23, 24, and 25) at Al Hassan Al Thani Hospital in Bouarfa city.
The free surgical caravan, which began yesterday, Friday, and continues until Sunday, comes in alignment with efforts to consolidate the values of solidarity and social cohesion, and in remembrance of the national symbolism of mobilization and citizenship on the occasion of the glorious Green March anniversary. Its aim is to meet the direct health needs of the province's population and alleviate the financial and logistical burden on patients and needy groups.
A specialized medical and health team, including specialist doctors in various surgical fields, along with nursing and administrative staff, oversaw this initiative. During this session, the medical teams are focusing on performing specialized surgical operations targeting the removal of "gallbladders" and "thyroid gland" surgery, which are medical interventions that are in high demand and urgent need in the region.
This caravan highlights the importance of integration and strategic partnership between public health sector institutions and civil society actors, as a fundamental gateway to improving citizens' access to specialized treatment services and bridging the gaps in medical coverage in the province.
