Italian police in the city of Greis arrested a 26-year-old Moroccan young man after intervening to break up a violent assault inside a nightclub.
According to the Italian State Police report, the suspect, who has a criminal record and is applying for political asylum, had entered into a fight with a security guard after harassing girls and stealing from the nightclub's customers. The person in question hit the guard with a stone, stole his sunglasses, and threatened to kill him, before a number of customers intervened to stop him until the police arrived. During the search, a girl's wallet, a customer's car keys, and the guard's glasses case were found in his possession, and after his arrest, he was referred in a case of flagrante delicto to the Public Prosecutor of the Republic pending pre-trial detention in the local prison.
