The General Directorate of Meteorology announced that it anticipates the recording of thunderstorms accompanied by hail and wind gusts, snowfall, and cold weather, from today, Wednesday, until next Saturday, in a number of regions of the Kingdom.
The Directorate explained, in an alert bulletin of "Orange" vigilance level, that it is expected to record local thunderstorms accompanied by hail and wind gusts (from 30 to 70 mm) in the prefectures and provinces of Taza, Berkane, Driouch, Nador, Oujda-Angad, Jerada, Taourirt, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Figuig, Sefrou, and Boulemane, from six o'clock in the evening of today, Wednesday, until six o'clock in the evening of tomorrow, Thursday. The same source added that snowfall is also expected starting from an altitude of 1500 meters (from 10 to 25 cm) in the prefectures and provinces of Figuig, Boulemane, Sefrou, Guercif, Taza, and Midelt, from today, Wednesday, at one o'clock in the afternoon until tomorrow, Thursday, at six o'clock in the evening. In addition, the bulletin stated that the weather will be cold (between 4 and 8 degrees) in the prefectures and provinces of Boulemane, Ifrane, Midelt, Khénifra, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Al Haouz, Taroudant, and Chichaoua, starting from tomorrow, Thursday, until next Saturday.
