HIBAPRESS – Guercif
The city of Guercif hosted, on Thursday morning, 27th of Jumada al-Akhirah 1447 AH, corresponding to December 18, 2025, in the events hall at Dar Al-Talib wa Al-Taliba, the activities of the Quranic Forum in Guercif, in a distinguished scientific and spiritual atmosphere, with an official and balanced presence, headed by the governor of Guercif province, along with an official delegation, and the heads of a number of local and regional scientific councils, representatives of religious affairs, and a group of scholars, researchers, memorizers, mentors and students.
The works of the forum, which was organized under the supervision of the local scientific council in the province of Guercif, opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by listening to the national anthem, before the head of the local scientific council delivered a welcoming speech in which he highlighted the status of the Holy Quran in building the Moroccan person, and the role of the scientific councils in preserving religious constants and consolidating the values of moderation and centrism.
The first session witnessed the delivery of a scientific and guidance lecture, which addressed the importance of caring for the people of the Quran, memorization and teaching, and their role in fortifying society morally and spiritually, with emphasis on the Moroccan privacy in managing religious affairs.
The moment of honoring the people of the Quran was one of the most prominent stations of the forum, where a number of memorizers were celebrated, including the oldest memorizer in the urban area, the oldest memorizer in the rural area, and the oldest memorizer for women in the province, in addition to a woman who memorized the Holy Quran, and other figures who provided great services to the Holy Quran and its people at the province level.
During the second session, and after a tea break, three scientific presentations were presented, the first of which was a presentation on "Caring for what was done by the work of Moroccans in teaching and memorizing the Quran", which focused on the educational and methodological specifics that characterized the Moroccan experience in this field. The second presentation also addressed the topic of “Quran memorizers and education with scenes from the Prophet's biography,” highlighting the educational and moral dimension of memorizing the Quran. As for the third presentation, it shed light on “Scientific endowment and civilizational advancement”, highlighting its role in supporting science and scholars throughout history.
The forum's activities concluded with raising a righteous prayer, and reading a telegram of loyalty and sincerity addressed to the high throne of God, the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory, in an expression of adherence to the religious and national constants of the Kingdom of Morocco.
This forum, according to the organizers, comes within the framework of enhancing the care for the Holy Quran and its people, appreciating the efforts of memorizers, and consolidating the educational and scientific roles of scientific councils in the service of religion and society.
