HIBAPRESS – Sports
Despite the offense issued by some Tunisian media outlets described as paid in the right of the Kingdom, Moroccans showed clear support for the Tunisian national team and shared with their fans the joy of victory in the African Cup of Nations.
This positive interaction was evident in the stands and on social media platforms, where sportsmanship and brotherhood bonds between the two peoples prevailed over any media smear campaigns. This position reflects that the attempts of some media voices, which seek to follow external political agendas and satisfy the Algerian military regime that oversees them, have not succeeded in influencing popular relations. Followers confirmed that the Maghreb peoples have remained more aware than to be dragged behind the rhetoric of incitement or insult, especially when it comes to the values of solidarity and mutual respect. Observers believe that these facts invalidate the claims promoted by media of doubtful motives, which aimed to belittle Morocco's efforts in organizing the tournament. This contradiction between media discourse and field reality confirms that the African Cup of Nations held in Morocco has imposed itself as the best and most successful in the history of the competition, as witnessed by the fans and participating teams.
