Starting January 1, 2026, a new legal procedure will require importers to pre-declare the locations where imported goods are stored or processed within the national territory, in accordance with the provisions of the Finance Law for the year 2026.
The importer or customs officer must include precise information about storage locations within the detailed customs declaration via the customs administration's information system, under penalty of fines ranging from 30,000 to 60,000 dirhams for non-compliance. This measure aims to enhance transparency and track the movement of goods, and to tighten control over import and storage chains, within the framework of combating fraud and customs evasion, and ensuring compliance with the laws governing foreign trade.
