HIBAPRESS – Essaouira
The Regional Directorate of Education in Essaouira announced the suspension of studies on January 2nd and 3rd, 2026, in all educational institutions within the region, in response to the warning bulletin issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology.
This step comes as a precautionary measure to protect students and teachers, after the bulletin warned of heavy rainfall classified as a red alert level, expecting the amount to range between 80 and 120 mm during Friday and Saturday in the areas of Essaouira, Agadir Ida-Outanane, and Taroudant.
The decision aims to avoid any risks that may result from heavy rainfall, and to ensure the safety of all students and workers in the educational sector in the region, in light of the bad weather forecasts.
