Azzedine Ounahi, midfielder for the Moroccan national team, suffered a serious injury that officially ended his participation with the "Atlas Lions" in the Africa Cup of Nations finals, according to a special source.
The same source explained that the injury Ounahi is suffering from requires a treatment and rest period extending to about six weeks, which means his final absence from the rest of the "CAN" matches, even if the Moroccan team continues its journey in the tournament and reaches the advanced stages.
Ounahi was seen upon his arrival at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the city of Rabat, using crutches, with a cast on his left foot, less than two hours before the start of the match that brings together the Moroccan national team with its Tanzanian counterpart, within the competitions of the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ounahi's injury is considered a painful blow to the Moroccan national team, given the important role that the player plays in the midfield of the "Atlas Lions" during the continental competitions.
