HIBAPRESS – Sports
The Algerian national team achieved a difficult and valuable victory over its Congolese counterpart in an exciting match within the African Cup of Nations competition.
The match was characterized by competitiveness and parity, as the two teams presented a strong performance, with a relative advantage for DR Congo in terms of possession and creating opportunities, in exchange for a tight defensive organization by Algeria. The match witnessed a clear tactical struggle, as the "Greens" attack failed to break the defensive block during the original time, despite repeated attempts and changes made by the coach in search of solutions. In contrast, the Congolese team relied on quick counterattacks that posed some danger, but the Algerian defense and goalkeeper were on time. In the second extra time, salvation came for the Algerian national team with a killer goal signed by the substitute Boulbina in the last minutes, giving the "Greens" a ticket to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
