By high instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid received, today, Monday, at the Guest Palace in Rabat, the members of the national football team, which reached the final match of the African Cup of Nations (Morocco-2025).
On this occasion, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, the coach of the national team, Mr. Walid Regragui, and the members of the national team greeted His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid before taking a commemorative photo. This reception reflects the great care that His Majesty the King, may God protect him, has been giving to young people and supporting their openness through sports, as well as the special care that His Majesty the King gives to this sector in general and to football in particular. His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, sent a congratulatory telegram to the members of the national team, immediately after the end of the final match that brought them together with the Senegalese national team, in which His Majesty affirmed that through this distinguished path during the African Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, the Atlas Lions have proven that "perseverance, seriousness, and team spirit are the way to achieve achievements, and you have presented to the world a model of what Moroccan and African youth can achieve when they are armed with confidence in their talents and abilities." The King's telegram also stated, "As you have demonstrated, with your composure and honorable heroic performance, the importance of our strategic vision in investing in the human element, and in modernizing the Kingdom's infrastructure, which has demonstrated its durability and global readiness in anticipation of hosting the 2030 World Cup competitions."
