The General Directorate of Meteorology stated that the weather today, Friday, will be characterized by snowfall over the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas and the Rif Mountains, starting from 1100 meters, and over the eastern high plateaus starting from 1200 meters.
Rain and heavy showers will be observed over Tangier, Loukkos, the Rif, the Mediterranean coast, the north of the Oriental region, the High and Middle Atlas and its surrounding areas, the Sais region, and the Atlantic Ocean plains north of Essaouira. The sky will be cloudy with rain in the Souss region and the north of the Saharan provinces of the Kingdom, and light rain in the south of the Oriental region and the southern provinces. The weather will remain relatively cold in the Atlas Mountains. Strong winds, somewhat to locally strong, are also expected in Tangier, the northern Atlantic plains, the Mediterranean coast, the Oriental region, the Atlas Mountains, the southeast, and the Saharan provinces. Minimum temperatures will range between minus 04 and minus 01 degrees in the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, between minus 02 and 06 degrees in the Rif and the high plateaus, and between 12 and 16 degrees in the south of the country and near the coasts, and will be between 08 and 12 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom. Daytime temperatures will rise in the south of the Oriental region and the Saharan provinces, and slightly decrease in the rest of the other regions. The sea will be rough to very rough on the Mediterranean coast, choppy to rough in the Strait of Gibraltar and south of Tarfaya, and strong to very rough north of Tarfaya.
