HIBAPRESS
The name of the Egyptian artist Mahmoud Hegazy topped search engines in the past hours, after his wife filed an official report accusing him of assaulting her with beating and dragging, which resulted in injuries to her face and eye, in addition to various bruises on her body.
Rana Tarek, the artist's wife, stated in her report that disputes arose between her and her husband that escalated into a violent physical assault, where he beat and dragged her on the ground, as she said. She also underwent a forensic medical examination to prove the injuries she sustained, while photos showing the effects of the assault on her face were circulated on social media. According to a circulating medical report, the wife was found to have bruises on her nose, forehead, arm, left eye, and shoulders, with a recommendation to see a specialist in eye diseases to determine the extent of the damage to her eye. In contrast, Mahmoud Hegazy denied these accusations in their entirety, confirming in statements to local media that the report filed against him was malicious and unfounded. He explained that his wife is seeking, as he said, to harm him and escape with their son outside the country, which he refuses, indicating his intention to take all necessary legal measures to preserve his rights and the rights of his son. It is worth mentioning that Mahmoud Hegazy was previously married to Asmaa, the daughter of the artist Sherif Mounir, before they separated after marital disputes. Hegazy participated in a number of prominent dramatic works, including the series "Wanoos", "Abu Al-Arousa", "Kafr Delhab", and "Hajar Jahannam", while the series "Beit Baba" is currently being shown.
