HIBAPRESS – E. Al-Samlali
The name of the great artist Adel Imam, nicknamed "The Leader," returned to the forefront of social media in recent hours, following the spread of rumors claiming that he had suffered a sudden health crisis and was transferred to the hospital, which raised a wave of concern among his audience inside and outside of Egypt.
In a decisive clarification, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, the President of the Actors' Syndicate, categorically denied this news, confirming in press statements that Adel Imam is in good health and does not suffer from any health problems, explaining that he is spending his current time with his family and grandchildren in a calm and stable atmosphere. He also indicated that what is being circulated is nothing more than recurring rumors, calling for accuracy and not being swayed by unreliable news, especially when it comes to an artistic figure of Adel Imam's stature. This denial comes in the context of a series of reassurances that the public has received during the past few months, where the artist Hussein Fahmy confirmed, during the International Film Festival in Marrakech, that the Leader is in good health, in response to a question from a journalist from HIBAPRESS newspaper, confirming at the time that Adel Imam is living his life normally and away from the spotlight. The credibility of these reassurances was further enhanced by the circulation of a recent photo of Adel Imam while attending the wedding of his grandson Rami among his family members, a photo that received wide interaction from the public and was considered an indirect message confirming the stability of his health. Adel Imam remains one of the most prominent symbols of Arab art, which makes any news related to his health a focus of wide interest, at a time when those close to him are keen to reassure his audience whenever such rumors appear.
