The President of the International Institute for Geopolitical Studies, Khalid Hamada, affirmed that King Mohammed VI, by emphasizing that relations with Africa are rooted in a shared history, a converging vision, and a common destiny, has affirmed the strength of the Kingdom's African roots as a highly strategic choice.
According to this political analyst based in Montpellier, the King "reminded of a simple but fundamental truth, that Morocco's relations with Africa, especially with Senegal, are not summarized in a football match. They are much deeper, much older, and most importantly, more resilient than those who try to exploit them wish." According to Hamada, it is about "a history that transcends the emotions of the moment," recalling the Kingdom's actual solidarity and the true African brotherhood that Morocco has always consecrated towards its brothers on the continent. In this context, the French geopolitical expert continues, the King called for overcoming the emotions of the moment and looking at reality as it is, noting that the bonds of African brotherhood will naturally prevail, because it is a well-established truth built on decades of solid partnership and commitment. The geopolitical expert affirmed that the King, through his foresight and wisdom, has clearly stated that Morocco will not accept resentment and division. Hamada said that Morocco today is an African power in the field of soft power, the fruit of decades of unwavering commitment to the continent, pointing out that the Kingdom was able to successfully organize the 2025 African Cup of Nations because the continent placed its trust in it. He also pointed out that the performance of the Moroccan national team not only reflects the validity of a voluntary, high-ambition policy, at the sports level and in the field of infrastructure, but also constitutes a symbol of Moroccan ambition for the entire continent.
