Air France announced last Friday evening the temporary suspension of its flights to Dubai due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The company confirmed that it is monitoring the situation moment by moment to ensure the safety of passengers and crews, while two flights from Paris to Dubai and the parallel return flights were canceled.
At the same time, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced the suspension of its flights to Dubai, Tel Aviv, Dammam, and Riyadh in coordination with the Dutch authorities, while Lufthansa German Airlines announced the suspension of its flights to and from Tehran until March 29th.
These measures come in light of escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, where US President Donald Trump announced the sending of a military fleet towards the Gulf, after previous threats against Iran following internal protests, before recently announcing the suspension of planned executions against the protesters.
