A responsible military source in the Jordanian army announced that two ballistic missiles targeting Jordanian territory were shot down.
The source stated that they were successfully intercepted by Jordanian air defense systems. The Jordanian army had confirmed, with the start of the American-Israeli operations against Iran, that the sounds heard in the skies of a number of areas of the country were due to aircraft belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, which are carrying out routine air patrols within their operational duties. The source clarified that these patrols come within the framework of reconnaissance and air inspection operations, with the aim of maintaining the safety of Jordanian airspace and its freedom from any attempts at intrusion or illegal activities.
