The headquarters of the Marrakech-Safi region hosted a coordination meeting on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, dedicated to activating the strategic partnership between the Regional Council, the region's governorate, and the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion.
The meeting was chaired by the Governor of the Marrakech-Safi region, along with the President of the Regional Council and the Director General of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion, in the presence of the Vice-President of the Marrakech Municipal Council and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with officials from the relevant decentralized services. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the structural projects planned at the level of the Marrakech-Safi region with the aim of strengthening the development dynamic, achieving sustainable spatial and economic integration, and enhancing the attractiveness of the region's provinces. The meeting addressed the urban planning axis, especially the project to rehabilitate the Youssef Ben Tachfine neighborhood in the city of Marrakech, where the participants stressed the need to prepare an urban vision that takes into account the status of Marrakech as a global tourist destination, given the strategic location the neighborhood occupies within the urban fabric. The meeting also stressed the importance of accelerating the relocation and resettlement of the concerned families in decent conditions to ensure the success of the project and achieve balanced urban development.
