A light vehicle turned into metallic wreckage yesterday evening after overturning from a steep slope exceeding 100 meters in depth, on the unpaved road linking the two villages of Bouhia and Tamkrout, belonging to the Shfaran commune in Al Hoceima province.
Informed sources stated that the driver of the car lost control of the steering wheel while crossing this rough section, causing the vehicle to suddenly veer towards the slope, in an accident described as dangerous and almost resulting in human losses had it not been for divine intervention. According to the same sources, the driver was able to exit the car in the last moments before it started to roll, which saved his life, while the vehicle suffered serious material damage. The increased use of this dangerous secondary road is attributed to the recourse of a number of drivers to it after the regional road in the Shfaran commune was cut off, due to the intensity of snowfall in recent days, which once again raises the issue of road safety and the need for intervention to secure alternative routes in the region.
