As part of monitoring the field situation following the recent rainfall, the Wali (Governor) of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, Mohamed Al-Yaacoubi, accompanied by Idris Al-Roubio, the Governor of Sidi Slimane province, and Abdelaziz Zarouali, the Governor of Sidi Kacem province, conducted a field visit today, Thursday, January 29th, to a number of villages in the provinces of Sidi Slimane and Sidi Kacem.
This visit aims to closely assess the situation in the areas affected by the rains, evaluate the level of preparedness, and take the necessary precautions and proactive measures to avoid any potential loss of life or property, especially in rural and vulnerable areas. During this tour, the official delegation reviewed the various field interventions undertaken by local authorities, civil protection services, and technical services. Clear instructions were also issued to enhance vigilance and rapid intervention when necessary, and to ensure the safety of the population and the security of facilities and infrastructure. This visit reflects the spirit of responsibility and field vigilance that characterizes the work of regional and provincial authorities, and their constant keenness to closely monitor the situation, and activate the principle of proximity and proactivity in managing natural crises, in line with the directives aimed at protecting citizens and their property. These actions are part of the ongoing efforts of the public authorities to ensure the safety of the population and effectively deal with climate fluctuations, which strengthens confidence and consolidates the good governance approach in managing territorial affairs.
