National Road 8, at the level of the Douar Taria belonging to the municipality of Beni Bouchibet in the Al Hoceima region, is experiencing large and advanced cracks, which have raised concerns among road users and the local population, due to the real danger it poses to road safety and the possibility of causing the closure of this vital road axis.
According to the available data, these cracks appeared at the level of the road surface and its sides, in a section that experiences significant traffic, and is used daily by the population and road users linking a number of municipalities and neighboring areas. The photos taken on the spot show a noticeable widening of the cracks, which reinforces the fear of the situation worsening, especially in the event of continued rainfall or soil erosion. A number of citizens expressed their concern about the continuation of the situation without urgent intervention, considering that the road has become a danger to vehicles and pedestrians, especially at night or in difficult weather conditions, demanding that the concerned authorities intervene quickly to assess the situation and take the necessary preventive measures. Observers warn that the delay in emergency work may lead to further deterioration in the road structure, which may require its temporary or total closure, which will negatively affect the movement of people and the daily activities of the population, in addition to the economic and social impact resulting from this. In light of this situation, calls are rising to the services of the Ministry of Equipment and Water, and the regional and local authorities, to conduct an urgent field inspection, and take the necessary technical measures to secure this road section, in order to preserve the safety of citizens and ensure the continuity of traffic.
