The tourism sector in Morocco recorded exceptional performance during 2025, with revenues in hard currency reaching 138 billion dirhams, an increase of 21% compared to 2024, exceeding the target set at 120 billion dirhams within the 2026 tourism roadmap.
A statement from the Ministry of Tourism clarified that this growth reflects Morocco's increasing attractiveness in international markets, driven by the reception of around 20 million tourists and the diversification of the tourism offer at the national level. The Minister of Tourism, Fatima Zahra Ammor, said that the record figure confirms that Moroccan tourism is not only growing in terms of the number of visitors, but is also creating greater added value, adding that the sector constitutes a lever for sustainable development and job creation. Moroccan spending on tourism also reached about 48 billion dirhams in 2025, reflecting the contribution of citizens in supporting the sector's dynamism.
