Starting today, Tuesday, the city of Tetouan is witnessing a state of proactive mobilization after local authorities decided to begin evacuating a number of residential areas in the Kouilmima district and areas adjacent to the Oued El Mahnch, as part of precautionary measures to avoid any potential risks.
This decision comes against the backdrop of warning bulletins that predict heavy rainfall in the coming hours, which may raise water levels and threaten the safety of residents living in areas near the valleys. The concerned authorities, in coordination with civil protection and auxiliary forces, have begun awareness and guidance operations, while providing the necessary support for the affected families, in order to protect lives and property. The authorities emphasize that this step falls within a preventive approach aimed at being prepared in advance to face weather fluctuations, calling on the residents to cooperate and actively participate in these measures to avoid any emergency.
