HIBAPRESS – Rabat
In accordance with the provisions of Article 148 of the Constitution, the Parliament, in its two chambers, held a joint public session today dedicated to presenting a presentation by Zineb El Adoui, the First President of the Supreme Council of Accounts, on the Council's work for the year 2024-2025. El Adoui confirmed that there is a noticeable improvement in the percentage of mandatory asset declarations among public officials, which is a positive indicator of the commitment of public actors to the principles of transparency and integrity.
The First President of the Supreme Council of Accounts explained that this improvement reflects the results of the efforts made to strengthen monitoring and awareness mechanisms, stressing that the declaration of assets is an essential tool to enhance trust between the citizen and institutions and to ensure the fight against manifestations of conflict of interest. El Adoui stressed that the Council will continue to follow up on this process and evaluate the extent to which public officials comply with the asset declaration, while providing the necessary recommendations to improve performance and enhance a culture of good governance and transparency in the public sector.
