HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Daher
The neighborhoods of the Gueliz district in the city of Marrakech are experiencing catastrophic conditions due to the deterioration of the infrastructure, where many alleys in Amerchich, Daoudiat, Saada, Izdehar, Mabrouka and others know the existence of many potholes and bumps, which negatively affect the smooth flow of traffic and circulation, and cost citizens car owners financial costs to repair their vehicles due to the losses resulting from the poor condition of the roads.
While the municipal council in Marrakech launched major structural projects to repair many of the major main streets, to facilitate traffic flow, and eliminate traffic congestion, the Gueliz district council adopts the principle of (how many needs we have fulfilled by abandoning them) and turns a blind eye to the daily suffering of citizens with the dilapidated infrastructure that has transformed many neighborhoods in the Gueliz district into something resembling the "douars" that lack the most basic conditions of a decent life. Many citizens from the residents of the Gueliz district, in their contact with the newspaper, denounced the indifference of the head of the district to the daily problems of the population, as he evaded all his electoral promises and turned his back on the voters, contradicting all the promises he made to them.
