The body of a Moroccan citizen named "A" during his lifetime, was found in a state of advanced decomposition, inside a tunnel located beneath the waterfront of the city of Taranto, southern Italy, in an incident that left a state of shock within the Moroccan community residing in the region.
According to local media, the body was discovered in mysterious circumstances, which mobilized the Italian security authorities who moved to the scene immediately upon receiving the notification, where the site was cordoned off and an investigation was opened to reveal the circumstances of the death. The same sources indicated that the competent authorities had initiated their initial procedures, pending the results of the medical examination, which is expected to determine the exact cause of death and its approximate date, amid official secrecy regarding the hypotheses of the accident until the present time. In the same context, the Moroccan Consulate in Italy is expected to be notified in order to complete the legal procedures in force, and to communicate with the victim's family as soon as his identity is officially confirmed.
