The General Consulate of the Kingdom in Dijon organized, on Saturday, a mobile consulate in the city of Saint-Claude (eastern France), within the framework of efforts to bring its services closer to members of the Moroccan community, especially in the Jura region.
This operation falls within the framework of a policy of proximity and strengthening the support of Moroccan citizens residing abroad, in line with the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. This initiative enabled members of the community to receive their national electronic identity cards, passports, and judicial documents, and they also benefited from explanations on how to use the online appointment booking system, in addition to clarifications regarding various administrative, social, and documentary procedures. The president of the cultural association of Saint-Claude, Boukhtta Jaya, said in a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, that it is about "strengthening proximity and communication initiatives with Moroccans around the world, by improving the services provided to Moroccan citizens residing in remote areas." After praising the smooth running of this mobile consulate in the Jura region, Mr. Jaya stressed the importance of intensifying such initiatives in France, which hosts one of the most dynamic Moroccan communities abroad. This initiative was also an opportunity to hold meetings with representatives of the Moroccan associative fabric in the region, which focused on initiatives to respond to the expectations of Moroccan citizens. This operation comes after the "Open Days" organized by the General Consulate in Dijon on March 7 and January 31, within the framework of the continuous mobilization of consular services for the benefit of the Moroccan community.
