HIBAPRESS
Parliamentarian Aicha Karji confirmed that members of the Moroccan community residing in Spain can now extract a good conduct certificate accompanied by the "Apostille" stamp directly from the Moroccan consulates, in a step she described as "important good news" that falls within the framework of facilitating administrative procedures during the legal status settlement phase.
Karji explained, in a post, that this measure comes in parallel with the strengthening of human resources in a number of Moroccan consulates in Spain, through the attachment of new employees from the central administration, with the aim of accelerating the processing of administrative files, especially the necessary documents related to settlement files. The parliamentarian considered that this positive step would alleviate the pressure that consulates are experiencing during this exceptional phase, and facilitate the access of Moroccans in Spain to consular services in better conditions, while praising the concerned ministry's response to the demands calling for supporting the consulates with sufficient frameworks. She also praised the efforts made by the consular staff, both female and male employees, during this critical period, and their keenness to serve the community members with a spirit of national responsibility. Karji reminded that she had directed a question to the concerned minister, in which she demanded taking exceptional measures to accompany the settlement phase, including enabling citizens to certify agencies and renew passports without requiring prior booking during this phase, and providing ready-made agency forms inside the consulates to fill them out and sign them on the spot. She also called for establishing special cells within the consulates exclusively dedicated to accompanying immigrants approaching settlement and accelerating the processing of their files, and studying the possibility of extracting a good conduct certificate directly inside the consulates with providing exceptional security supervision to ensure the smoothness of the process, or temporarily exempting the certification of agencies for the benefit of relatives in Morocco in order to extract this certificate. She also stressed the need to establish clear and effective mechanisms to combat appointment brokers and protect the beneficiaries from all forms of extortion. The parliamentarian concluded her post by emphasizing that this phase represents an opportunity to strengthen trust between the administration and Moroccans of the world, and to consolidate an approach based on proximity, listening, and positive interaction with the expectations of the community, considering that serving Moroccans of the world is a shared responsibility, and accompanying them in the process of settling their situations is a national duty that requires the mobilization of all.
