The Ait Makhlouf bridge, located on the road connecting Boulemane and Imouzzer Marmoucha, witnessed a traffic accident this Wednesday morning, causing a temporary disruption in traffic, amid the mobilization of local authorities and the Royal Gendarmerie services.
In the details of the incident, available data indicated that the driver lost control of his vehicle while attempting to cross the bridge crossing, which was being swept by floodwaters, as documented by the circulating photo from the scene. This led to the car being swept away and overturned in the valley below the bridge, causing traffic to stop briefly and a crowd of citizens to gather to follow the details of the incident. Fortunately, no serious injuries were recorded, with the damage limited to material losses to the vehicle. Upon being notified of the accident, the competent authorities moved to the site, where they worked to secure the road section and facilitate traffic, in addition to initiating the necessary legal and administrative procedures, pending the restoration of the situation to its normal state.
