As a continuation of the measures taken to ensure a gradual and organized return for citizens who were temporarily evacuated following the exceptional climate disturbances that the region witnessed, the local authorities in the Sidi Kacem province announce that they have developed an integrated plan to manage the stages of return. Through this plan, the approved means of transportation, the specific routes for travel, as well as a series of accompanying field measures, have been determined, with the aim of ensuring a safe and smooth movement for the residents.
Starting on Sunday, February 15, 2026, the first phase of the return program will be implemented for the residents of the following areas:

The remaining areas and subsequent time phases will be announced in subsequent statements, according to the development of field indicators and the readiness of the pathways and infrastructure.
The local authorities in the Sidi Kacem province urge the residents of the areas not mentioned in this statement to exercise caution and not to attempt to return to the affected areas until official notices are issued allowing it, until the water levels recede to safe levels and decent reception conditions are available.
Field monitoring will be strengthened by establishing checkpoints at the entrances to the areas concerned with the return of residents, to ensure that access is limited to those authorized, and to organize the movement of citizens in a way that achieves the required fluidity and security.
