HIBAPRESS – El Ihyai runs
The General Consulate of the Kingdom in Madrid continued the journey of challenge that began about two weeks ago with a distinguished administrative staff specifically assigned to control the overcrowding and pressure of appointments through the electronic portal provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enable all Moroccans to have fast consular services that suit their future aspirations to obtain a residence permit, the files of which are scheduled to begin receiving at the beginning of next April.
The General Consulate in Madrid focuses – according to the observation of HIBAPRESS – on the speed of receiving requests for good conduct certificates as the most requested document during the current stage, where its procedures are carried out smoothly, starting from stamping a copy of the national card at the reception office, followed by paying the stamp duty (3 euros) before heading to the last point related to the General Administration of National Security, or what is known as the "Akni" office, this office, which in the ordinary days oversees the lifting of fingerprints for those seeking a national identity card from Moroccans and other exceptional services that are considered very limited in most cases. The aforementioned consular center witnessed today, Saturday, the influx of a large number of members of the Moroccan community, and despite that, there was no sign of queues outside or inside, as the procedures for requesting good conduct are carried out in record time estimated at less than two minutes, and the beneficiary leaves overwhelmed by signs of acceptance and satisfaction in recognition of good governance and good management adopted by the General Consulate in keeping up with the stage that was said a lot before its launch. Several Spanish television channels had conducted field coverage in a number of consulates of other countries to look at the measures adopted in the face of the collective settlement campaign, where it became clear that the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid received the lion's share of positive impressions of citizens, at a time when human queues are congested at the consulates of other countries such as African consulates and Latin American consulates, and with all this comfort, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation was not satisfied with the field procedures and the human mobilization of its consulates in Spain, but went beyond that towards establishing a new law that allows obtaining a certificate of good conduct that includes the "Apostille" seal and always from the General Consulates. This entire process records one of the most important challenges in which the Moroccan administration has succeeded in coordination with all other components in order to enable Moroccan immigrants to settle their situation as soon as possible according to the deadlines set for the settlement process (3 months), and this in itself is a historic achievement for Morocco and its priorities in dealing with its citizens abroad. For the sake of fairness only, we must commend the role of the administrative system of the General Consulate in Madrid, which is betting on completing all incoming requests on time, without forgetting a significant number of other Moroccans coming from other European countries for the same purpose, adding a slight weight to the enthusiasm and patriotism of employees who are working hard to help them in complete selflessness.
